We are working with a well known and highly respected company in the Fresh Produce Industry…They are looking to expand their Sales and Trading team with a ambitious and energetic Sales Manager / Trader. You would have extraordinary Sales skills, ideally working within the Fresh Produce Industry…. We would be open to any level of experience as long as you have some exposure to the Fruit / Fresh Produce Sales…

Overall – our client are very open on level and would welcome a conversation with any experienced traders in the area.

You will work with your previous Sales / Trading experience, communication and rapport building skills to form lasting relationships with customers. You will have an eye for sales opportunities and understand what is needed to develop and grow in a Trading role…. You will be able to use your experience and relationships to help drive the business forward and help grow the top and bottom lines for the business.

The ideal candidate will have fresh produce trading experience. You will have a proven track record of delivering sales and new business with non retail customers.

 

The Job:

This role would consist of trading across a number of different Fresh Produce categories, or across categories you have existing relationships with that you can develop within this business.

Sourcing great quality produce at a good price to not only ensure satisfied customers but repeat business with your contacts.

The current push is to understand both customers and suppliers better to ensure requirements are best on both ends and a symbiotic trading relationship can be established. This will further growth for the business and enable it to be maintained.

 

The Candidate:

  • We are looking for someone with the following experience:-
  • Experience trading in fruit ideally, other produce would be considered but fruit is a definite advantage.
  • Strong exposure to a Sales and / or Trading environment within the Fresh Produce Industry
  • Ideally you would have a book of contacts to bring to the business on both supply and customer side which you can continue to develop.
  • Strong Sales acumen
  • You would have excellent telephone manner
  • You will be a team player and have a good ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • IT Skills

UK Sales Manager

Our client is a well established and respected Fresh Produce marketeer with an enviable business model. Through further growth they are now looking for a sales professional to join their energetic and vibrant team in the NE of Spain. You will be responsible for the export sales to the UK and Ireland and should have a good working knowledge of these markets along with Fresh Produce experience.

Our client have increasing presence in the UK and they are looking for someone with strong Sales experience to sell Fruit and Vegetables tot he UK Market…. Therefore the successful candidate would have current Sales experience in the Fresh Produce Industry.

It is essential that the candidate can speak both Spanish and English, any other European languages would be beneficial.

Please apply if you have the following experience:

  • Ideally, the successful candidates would have a minimum 3 years + of Experience in Fruit / vegetable sector
  • Proficient and proven Sales and Commercial skills such as selling and buying in the Industry
  • Language skills English is a must. You would speak minimum English, which is their spoken language in the office. However, Spanish would be naturally very helpful at the moment of living in Spain.
  • Good social and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

FMK Consulting are looking for a Trading / Sales Manager with a background in the Fresh Produce Industry. They are a internationally successful Produce trading company that are keen to expand their existing trading and sales team with a confident, ambitious and talented Sales Manager’s / Commercial Managers/ Procurement professionals and so on…

Working closely with suppliers around the world, our client supplies UK businesses with imported fresh produce, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining existing client relationships within the Sales & Marketing department, whilst identifying and targeting new business opportunities particularly in the non-retail sector.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a high calibre sales / commercial or trading professional, with a portfolio of customers in Wholesale Markets, Food Service, Processors, Category Managers. It is unlikely that you would have less than two years experience within the Fresh Produce industry and used to growing business within healthy and stable relationships. A combination of a proactive trading mentality and a strategic thinker would be essential.

We are looking for the following candidate:-
You would be currently working in a Commercial or Sales position within a Fresh Produce operation
Must have strong knowledge of the Fresh Produce Industry
Must have excellent communication skills

Our client is part of a highly successful and well known Fresh Produce Group. They are continuously growing in success and are keen to speak with Traders from the Fresh Produce Industry.

Overall, they are keen to speak with candidates who have experienced buying and selling Fresh Produce – whatever the category! Experience can vary, but it would be essential that the successful candidate had some exposure to the Fresh Produce Industry.

They supply both UK Retail and Non retail customers, so we are keen to speak with people with experience trading with either!

You must be able to manage the costs so as to maximise the trading margin ultimately to meet your profit targets.

The Role

  • Trading a variety of fresh produce to UK Supermarkets or Non retail outlets such as wholesalers and foodservice companies around the country.
