This role will report directly to the Head of Sales and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within the FMCG, fresh produce, or chilled food industry.

You’ll work in a commercially driven environment where decisions are fast, responsibility comes early, and performance gets recognised properly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of UK/IRE & EU sales activities to help drive sales growth and profitability
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers across the UK and Europe
  • Assist with pricing, quotations, and trading activities to support commercial objectives
  • Communicate regularly with customers and attend meetings where required
  • Manage daily trading administration, including sending product availabilities to key customers
  • Develop an understanding of market conditions through regular communication with suppliers and customers
  • Help monitor customer stock levels and support the management of overstocks or supply issues
  • Assist in resolving customer queries and quality-related issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure company procedures and processes are followed at all times
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Attend internal and external meetings in person or via Teams
  • Support with payment queries and customer account administration
  • Ensure all sales orders are entered onto the internal system accurately and in a timely manner

Key Competencies

  • Some experience within FMCG, fresh produce, foodservice, or a commercial sales environment is desirable
  • A strong interest in sales, trading, procurement, or account management
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
  • A hardworking and positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team
  • Confident communicator with good negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Competent in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Able to adapt to changing business needs and processes

Package

  • Base Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE ( This is negotiable + DOE)
