Our client is the largest Fresh Produce Importer and Distributor in the UK- As a Global player they rank in the top three.

Through a significant resurgence in trade they are now looking for an individual to give Administrative / Commercial support to key members of their team. The Commercial Admin Assistant will be crucial to the team in assisting the Procurement, logistics and Sales managers.

This is a great opportunity for a Commercial minded candidate to enjoy the lively world of the Fresh Produce Industry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer Fresh Produce consignments, transport, shipping, packing invoices.
  • Support Produce claims and credit requests.
  • Support Preparations for the weekly payment runs.
  • Support Commercial Manager with country offices / suppliers on admin and finance queries
  • Manage the clients customer data entry (pricing, deviations, contracts, shortages).
  • Work closely with procurement and commercial teams to support all aspects of consignments within the business
  • Data management and data entry using the ERP system
  • Ensuring that correct documentation is raised to achieve payment without delay.

Specific Knowledge & Experience

  • Fresh Produce / Food / FMCG exposure advantageous
  • Experience within a commercial environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and administration skills
  • Computer literacy in word, excel and Outlook e-mail systems.
  • Experience inputting information and extracting reports from a ERP system very desirable. –Navision is the system our client uses but experience in this is not essential, although would be VERY Advantageous
  • Good telephone manner.
  • A high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • The ability to speak other European languages is not essential but would be highly advantageous
  •  Independent with a self-organised approach and the ability to plan a workload and support other members of the team.
  • Good time management is essential.
