Job Title: Commercial Coordinator
Reporting To: Senior Commercial Managers

Job Purpose

  • To help drive sales, manage key accounts, maintaining stock and financial accuracy, ensuring 100% customer service, whilst enhancing the company’s profitability.
  • To be part of a cross- functional team.
  • Develop core competencies and versatility: working in every commercial area learning every commercial function, working with and learning from the various team members.
  • Extending this cross-functional approach when working with other department within the business helping maintain a collaborative working environment.
  • All duties are to be completed taking into full consideration all points outlined in the company handbook.

Reports to:
Senior Commercial Managers, and the company directors

Directors, Finance Team, Stock, Logistics, Commercial

Key contacts outside the company

  • All Customers Commercial, Stock control and Technical teams
  • All 3rd party Warehouse / Packhouse staff
  • All current Suppliers and New Suppliers
  • All Freighting / Logistics organisations
  • All relevant Seed Houses

Specific responsibilities

  • To effectively assist the management of the commercial accounts within both the UK and other European Countries.
  • To maintain and develop excellent customer relationships.
  • Wherever possible help to develop new customers in the retail, fresh cut and food service sectors.
  • To develop / assist development of category plans.
  • To develop / assist the development of a sound procurement plan for the company and its customers.
  • To measure / assist the measurement of performance of sales and profitability reports
  • To maintain / assist the companies performance against the company’s budget.
  • To drive continuous improvement to achieve best value for the company
  • To help develop skills, competencies and professionalism within the companies team.
  • To develop skills, competencies within the ‘Freshware’ software package
  • To develop / assist Stock and Logistics in all aspects of the role including but not determining:
    All aspects of Stock Maintenance and Reconciliation (fruit, crates and labels)
    Retail, Fresh Cut and Wholesale Market order entry (Including load plans)
    Transport planning and booking (Including Container movements)
    Consignment Entry and Management
    Shipping Documentation including Customs Clearance and Container release
    Operational Invoicing (including transport, freight, warehousing and materials)
    Purchase invoice input and processing
    Pallet & Crate stock management
  • To assist the Directors & Senior Commercial Managers in all aspects of their role including but not determining:
    Retail, Fresh Cut and Wholesale Market order entry (Including load plans)
    Retail, Fresh Cut and Wholesale Market invoicing, including chasing weight returns and
    updating relevant spreadsheets (including uploading to EDI)
    Retail claims, checking discrepancy log and returns
    Purchase Invoice input and processing
    Maintaining stock spreadsheets and participate in ongoing procurement planning
    Maintain Product & Promo Labelling Stock
    All Customer Product Information Sheets (Pis)
    Update customer specific weekly availability sheets
    Update weekly cost confirmation
