About our client

A well-established and respected International Fresh Produce Importer, Packer, Grower and Distributor to UK Multiples. In addition, they have significant non-retail contracts and the Wholesale, Food Service sector. They are now looking to expand their commercial team with a Key Account Manager.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone in the early stages of their Sales and Marketing career to develop in this fast-paced and exciting sector.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Account Manager to manage the companies most important clients.

You will be responsible in maintaining and improving the Fresh Produce categories with these key customers.

You will be a strong team player, supporting other Account Managers and the Commercial Director achieving on a day-to-day basis business plans in line with company strategy.

The Key Account Manager will be expected ….

To maintain an effective dialogue with your Key accounts and maintain and grow the accounts with excellent Category management.

To ensure full communication with internal Commercial, Technical and Procurement teams on status of demand, programming and forecasting.

To manage all issues that may arise from the key accounts in a timely and efficient manner.

To work with all relevant people in the supply chain to achieve outstanding service levels for your key account.

To eventually become the expert ‘go to’ advisor on all areas of the Category.

To excel in networking skills.

About you in the role

Have the character, stamina and enthusiasm for a lively and rewarding role.

Proven experience in managing customer accounts ( expected min 2yrs).

Customer focused and enjoy building long term professional relationships.

Excellent organizational skills.

Good negotiator and problem solver.

Some FMCG/ Fresh Produce experience working on key Retail / Multiple accounts, demonstrating a track record of success.

Category management experience desirable.

Knowledge and background of planning, strategy, analysis and presentations
