Job Title: Marketing Manager

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Management of the company’s branded Fruit offer supporting the sales function in driving growth across all customer channels
  • Develop the plan for the product and trade/consumer activation to support
  • Work with internal teams and customers to scope and identify Branded opportunities for the brands within the UK
  • Management of marketing budget spend to deliver the best return on investment, brand exposure and equity
  • Support the business in gaining a premium for its growers with added value to our price proposition
  • Manage all commercial communication for the business to external sources
  • Management of agency relationships for external PR/Comms/Events

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

DAILY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Development and roll out of the companies branded proposition
  • Management of social media communications and PR (Internal and outsourced)
  • Co-ordinate customer specific marketing plans to support planned activity and support growth in in new distribution. Work with commercial function and customer plans to ensure timing and nature of activation fits with the commercial agendas
  • Support all opening branded opportunities within the UK market

KEY STRATEGIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and manage annual marketing and communication budget
  • Support Sales director and senior sales leads in developing customer/channel plans
  • Work with and present marketing and communications plans to the grower board at least quarterly
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Evidence of extensive experience working in a comparable role, ideally with direct experience of working on start-up branded projects
  • Experienced in utilising the key marketing tools (Social media/ trade press/ consumer events…) that support successful brand development
  • Strong appreciation of our business needs and resourcefulness in coming up with solutions to their challenges
  • Ability to relate to key client personnel in a professional and credible fashion
  • Well-developed personal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of employees
  • Good interpersonal skills and well developed leadership and management skills
  • Ability to network cross functionally to ensure marketing efforts feed into/ and support core business goals
  • Ability to work as part of a team with colleagues across professional, operational and cultural boundaries
  • Proactive approach and prompt responses to all service requests
  • Ability to identify needs and issues and recommend suitable and pragmatic courses of action and solutions, adopting a risk aware approach
  • Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at once and meeting deadlines as required
  • Very good organisational skills
  • Good IT skills
